Top 10 Family Cars In The World 2023

There’s more to family automobiles than anxious parents vainly wrangling misbehaving children.

Here is a list of the top 10 family cars in the world as of 2022.

10. Volvo XC90

The first XC90 reimagined the family SUV. It totally captured the current zeitgeist, with innovative seating and a bare gesture in the direction of off-road capabilities, and was still selling by the bucket load well over a decade after it initially went on sale.

In current automotive terms, that’s a geological timescale. Volvo, on the other hand, has evolved on it and made the current model even more desirable.

9. Skoda Kodiaq

The massive Kodiak bear that rumbles throughout various parts of the Alaskan countryside, the Kodiaq, has previously won honors. With the footprint of a smaller vehicle and the inside space of a bigger vehicle.

It’s an excellent family vehicle. Small(ish) and agile enough to go around, yet large enough to hold seven people. Furthermore, with a towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes and the option of four-wheel drive, it will handle the yearly family caravanning trip to the South Coast.

8. Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

You had a 911, but the kids are now too big for the teeny-tiny rear seats, and their musical instruments are too large to fit in the front boot. The Panamera Sport Turismo comes highly recommended by us.

And, in particular, the Turbo S E-Hybrid, which is certainly one of the finest arguments for combining electricity and gasoline and cramming it all into a wagon-styled, four-wheel-drive Porsche.

The Sport Turismo is a very beautiful vehicle, and with four full-sized seats, it’s ideal for family living. It can fit the kids and their cricket gear, but it can also accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds. Bonkers.

7. Peugeot 3008

There was a point when Peugeot just couldn’t produce a cool hot hatch. But not any longer — even their family-oriented vehicles are oozing with desire. OK, maybe that’s a little harsh, but you get the idea. The new 3008 improves on the blobby original version with crisper aesthetics, more technology on the inside, and considerably superior quality throughout.

It retains the higher riding height of the original generation. However, with an SUV-like design and Peugeot’s newest entertainment system, it’s no longer a car where the kids will request to be left off around the corner.

6. Ferrari GTC4 Lusso

At least four people should be able to sit in a family automobile. Family vehicles should have large boots. The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso is our most practical recommendation to date. There is no nicer or more softly confrontational way to arrive at the school gates than with a V12 or V8 engine up front.

Furthermore, Ferrari has made the current version gentler on baby ears by making it quieter during start-up. So now everyone may relax when you have an early Sunday morning football practice.

5. Land Rover Discovery

It’s difficult to imagine a vehicle better adapted to absorbing the full of a family’s existence, whether you dwell in the far reaches of Scotland or the rat runs of the Home Counties.

It will withstand whatever we, or any other family, can throw at it, short of putting it on Mars. Spacious boot, comfortable ride, all the tech, and entertainment equipment that the most ADHD-prone youngster could desire, and off-road capabilities to handle the meanest kerbs that a school run can produce.

4. Jaguar I-Pace

This is the schoolyard champion — no children’s lungs were affected by the Jaguar I-quiet, Pace’s pollution-free billowing. For once, Jaguar was ahead of the curve, bringing an electric SUV to market before all of its primary European competitors. Furthermore, it knocked it out of the park.

The I-Pace is still recognizable as a Jaguar, but it has a bolder style than the dull Audi E-Tron and blobby Mercedes EQC. It promises a 298-mile range (perhaps optimistically), 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds, and a charging period of 45 minutes (if you can find a 100kW DC supply).

3. Alpina B3 Touring

The Alpina B3 is a vehicle with a knowing wink. You could have purchased a BMW 3 Series Touring, but you chose to stand out and you triumph.

Because, while a BMW 3 Series Touring is a fantastic car, the instant we realized Alpina had crammed a twin-turbo straight-six into a Touring body, we knew we’d found the true Ultimate Family Machine. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, with a peak speed of 186 mph and a 0-62 mph time of 3.9 seconds.

2. Audi RS6

Estate automobiles are stylish. Audi has always been the undisputed king of quick estates. The RS6 is their most recent model. Only the front doors, roof, and tailgate are shared with a standard A6, so even your most oblivious neighbor should be able to congratulate you on your decision and fawn over the bulges, slats, and posture of your totally capacious and useful new car.

The RS6 has a bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 592bhp and 590lb-ft of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 62mph in 3.6 seconds. In addition, unlike the previous model, this one has cylinder deactivation, a coasting mode, and 48V mild hybrid assistance.

1. Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio

It’s an Alfa Romeo. As a result, you have effectively deviated from the pattern of every single sad suburban family and invested in joy. The Giulia was previously named Car of the Year, and it remains our top selection in the class, particularly with the 503bhp twin-turbo V6 found in the Quadrifoglio’s engine room. The vehicle is built on a new rear-wheel-drive chassis.
